HARRY POTTER SERIES REVIEW!!!!

WARNING SPOILERS, AND OVERUSE OF GIFS AHEAD!!!!

So I have recently finished the Harry Potter Series and of course it was mind-blowing. But some books I favor more then others. I also like to give a basic summary/review on this series because it's just so very amazing series that never failed to endorse me every single time.

Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone - After I read this I was like

because that book was mind-blowing!! So basically, Harry's mom and dad had died in a so called "car crash". But really he's a wizard who's parents was killed my the evil Lord Voldemort.  I totally saw that coming.  This is a little bit like Star Wars. There is the young boy who has this great destiny they have to fill. I loved the thrill and adventure played throughout the story. Overall, 5 stars
Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets - Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secretes a.k.a Harry  meets Voldemort again. After the big Quirell Fiasco last year Hogwarts needs a new teacher for DADA. So who does Dumbledore choose? Why Lockheart of course. The one who almost stole Harry's glory of defeating Voldemort once again. So Voldemort returns , but this time in the form of a diary and takes over Ginny Weasley's mind!! Harry has to defeat him with some help from Fawkes. After I read this book I was like woah! Mind-blown again. I was in love with the Hogwarts world and rather sad that I was a muggle. Harry learns that he can speak Parseltounge, language of the snake or serpent which is cool even if it's a little scary. Harry discovers more and more about the wizarding world.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban - The third book in the series is my favorite. This where we meet Sirius (pronounced Serious) Black. In the beginning chapters he is a wanted criminal who escaped from Azkaban, a horrible place that drives anyone mad. Sirius was a really close friend of James Potter and Remus Lupin. Because of a story said by one of the teachers in Hogwarts, Harry believes that Sirius betrayed his parents and led Voldemort to kill his parents. This is the book where the spell "Expecto Patronum" makes it's first appearance as well as the best DADA teacher Remus Lupin and the Maurders Map which was created by The Maurders ( James Potter, Siruis Black, and Peter Pettigrew). Lupin,Black,Potter and Pettigrew were the coolest group in Hogwarts during their time. They were animagus and the best of friends. That is until Pettigrew ( also known as Wormtail) betrayed them and led Voldemort too kill Harry's parents. Sirius is Harry's godfather. My favorite part was when Siruis said "The ones that love us, never really leave us. You can always find them in here". He was talking about the heart. He also promised Harry a home after all the Voldemort stuff is over. Siruis Black was the closest thing to a parent Harry ever had.

Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire - Harry Potter now 14 years old has himself a crush. Cho Chang. Cho was alright, but when I read Harry liked Cho I was thinking he could've done better. But love life aside the Triwizard Tournament has arrived! The Triwizard Tournament is when the three magical schools ( Hogwarts, Drumstrang, and Beauxbatons) send a champion to compete and complete 3 dangerous task. Only people in their 6th and 7th years put in their names in the Goblet Of Fire and the Goblet chooses for each school. Their is only one champion, but something goes wrong and 2 champions are chosen for Hogwarts. The 2 champions are: Cedric Diggory and (you guessed it) Harry Potter! Skipping past all the 1st and 2nd tasks (which involve a dragon, and water) we go to the 3rd task which is to find the Triwizard Cup in a maze. This is where Cedric Diggory dies. He dies because the Cup is a Portkey that leads to The Dark Lord, which was planted by the imposter Alastor Moody (Who is Barty Couch Jr.). This is where Vol
demort makes his first show in the series. Voldemort plans to kill Harry, but Harry escapes. How? Well that's a complicated story... Anyway, Dumbledore find out that there is a connection between Harry and Voldemort. Harry could sense what Voldemort is feeling with his scar. Usually, his scar hurts when Voldemort is mad or near Harry. Or insanley happy.

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix - One of the saddest books of all. There is a secret organization called "The Order of The Phoenix". This is an Order that strives to defeat Voldemort and the Death Eaters and keep Harry safe. Mostly, the Order is made up of Harry's close friends like Lupin and Mr.Weasley. This is one of the most complex and longest book in the series. The Order is trying to convince that the DARK LORD is back to other people. Most wizards say that it's rubbish, bit if you read the 4th book you know it's true. Meanwhile, things on Hogwarts aren't looking great. Since, Lupin was a werewolf he can't return to Hogwarts. So the DADA teacher is Dolores Umbridge. She was sent by the Ministry to spy on Hogwarts and see if they are creating an army to overthrow the Ministry. To be honest, I really wanted her dead even more than the dark lord. Much to Umbridge's dismay there was an army created. Dumbledore's Army or the D.A. An organization preparing to battle Voldemort. Most of it is Harry Potters friends. In the midst of the D.A Harry is having troubling dreams. He senses that Voldemort is looking for something in The Ministry of Magic. What he was looking for was a prophecy. The prophecy told by Professor Trelwaney when Dumbledore went to visit her for the job opening. The prophecy explains that someone born near the end of July will destroy Voldemort. Or something like that. Snape heard the first part and since he was a death eater he reported it to Voldemort. The trouble was that 2 boys were born near the end of July. One was Harry Potter and the other was... Neville Longbottom. Imagine that Neville could be the one facing Voldemort and being The Chosen One. I was blown away by this news and going crazy. In the battle in The Hall of Prophecies Sirius died!! I was so heartbroken and going crazy. Siruis was one of my favorite characters and I almost cried with Harry.

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince - In their 6th year at Hogwarts Porfessor Slughorn is the new Potions Master and Snape the new DADA teacher. Since Harry hadn't been planning to take Potions he has to borrow an old textbook from Slughorn. This is the property of the mysterious Half-Blood Prince. It was later revealed that it was Snape. Harry has to take private lessons with Dumbledore. They have to find the objects Voldemort has put is soul in because in Hogwarts you can split your soul into 7 pieces! The ring is one object. They have to find the rest. Which they don't. Or at least not until the next book. In the midst of that, Harry seems to like another girl. Ginny Weasley. And I was like YESSSSSSSSSS. Cho Chang was acting like a jealous brat. Ginny is tough and strong thanks to her bro's. They actually date, but have to cut it because of Voldemort, OF COURSE!!! But mostly the most important thing that happens here is that Dumbledore DIES. Killed by Severus Snape. I was always uncertain on where his allegiance was...

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows -Well I like leaving people in suspense so you need to read this one yourselves!!!
